Organization
Do all of your papers never seem to be where you thought you left them? Do you have folders stuffed to the max that are about to burst? Do you carry your overstuffed 50-pound backpack around in a panic that you will forget something if you don't carry everything you own with you at all times?
If so, you would probably benefit from getting more organized. Getting organized can have a lot of benefits for you, such as:
-Less time spent on homework (because you are more efficient and know what you need to do and where to find assignments)
-Less stress (being able to know what is expected of you and being able to find and manage things will help you out with managing stress)
-Easier time studying (with all of your materials organized by class, it will be easier to keep track of notes and what you need to know for tests)
-Less clutter (when you are organized, you can get rid of all that extra old clutter that is taking up space that you don't need)
-Less back problems (carrying those backpacks around can't be good for your backs. It makes my back hurt just watching you)
The first step to getting organized is coming up with a system. This part is usually pretty easy. The tricky part is sticking to that system.
If you feel unsure of where to start or have trouble finding a system that works for you, please set up a meeting with me and I'll help you out!

- Try color coding binders or folders for various classes (many of you start the year this way, but it is something you need to stick with if you want it to help you).
- Get in a habit of putting items in the correct spots when you receive them rather than just shoving them away in some old folder or your backpack. This will take you a little extra time but will save you time in the long run.
- Consider writing assignments down in your planner rather than relying on Google Calendar. This will help you have a list where you can take notes and cross things off as you complete them. Also, the simple act of writing the assignments down helps your brain to process and remember what you need to do.
- Clean out your locker and backpacks. There is probably a lot of clutter you could get rid of. It feels good to clean something up.
